Is the Universe Designed?

This is an interesting subject and one that will help clarify how the entire universe works.

To begin with lets get a few observations on record. We start with the observation that there is a universe. Whether it is all an illusion or just energy matter space and time is for debate later. We are interacting within an existence that has rules and standards and predictability. The entire affair has come into existence. One way or another.

I have come to the conclusion after looking over the universe that it has been created.

We know from the second law of thermodynamics that all things go from order to disorder.  This well proven law  is concerned with entropy, which is a measure of disorder. The second law says that the entropy of the universe increases. An increase in disorder (overall) is therefore spontaneous. If the volume and energy of a system are constant, then every change to the system increases the entropy. If volume or energy change, then the entropy of the system can actually decrease. However, the entropy of the universe does not decrease.

So, all around us is order. There  is order in the way energy is constructed into matter. Matter is constructed into systems. There are galaxies of stars and even  some with planets. There  is at least one planet Earth that is filled with abundant life. Investigations into life show that it is constructed in phenomenally wondrous structures that are of the utmost design.

So there is obviously a Designer. Some naive speculators think that such vast magnitudes of structural order extracted themselves randomly from nothing without consideration of design. These speculators have the greatest unfounded faith that the imagination could ever conjure.

The thinking observant person comes to the conclusion that there is order and design and therefore a designer. The more you investigate life the  more profound this conclusion becomes. Life is a totally mutually dependant fabric of active living. We have some species totally dependant on others for their existence.

We have bodies of organs that are of no use at all to each other without all the other components of a vastly complex system. The cells of a human body are built of components that are meaningless unless grouped into mutually interacting components. There is the fact of irreducible complexity. By irreducibly complex I mean a single system composed of several well-matched, interacting parts that contribute to the basic function, wherein the removal of any one of the parts causes the system to effectively cease functioning. An irreducibly complex system cannot be produced directly (that is, by continuously improving the initial function, which continues to work by the same mechanism) by slight, successive modifications of a precursor system, because any precursor to an irreducibly complex system that is missing a part is by definition nonfunctional.

This concept eliminates the Darwinian theory that systems evolve slowly over time building individual components that collect together to create a more complex system.

The more you observe, the more obvious it becomes, and, then one day you know that it was all created by design,  and there is a Creator of all these things.
